DB Group, formerly known as Dhaka Builders, began its journey in 1960 under the leadership of Haji Mohammad Sala Uddin. Originally founded as a cement distribution company, Dhaka Builders quickly earned a reputation for reliability, quality, and trust—key values that remain at the heart of our business today.
During the 1960s and 70s, the company was instrumental in supporting Bangladesh’s early construction projects, providing vital building materials that helped shape the country’s urban landscape. By the 1980s, Dhaka Builders had grown into a market-leading cement distributor, establishing strong ties with both local and international suppliers.
Over six decades later, DB Group has evolved into a diversified conglomerate, driven by a spirit of innovation and a commitment to nation-building. Today, under the dynamic leadership of Saidur Rahman, son of the founder, DB Group has expanded its footprint across multiple industries, while remaining rooted in its core mission: building a better future for Bangladesh.

Message from the Managing Director
It is with great pride and a deep sense of responsibility that I share a few words on behalf of DB Group, a company built on legacy, trust, and vision.
In 1960, my father, Haji Mohammad Sala Uddin, laid the foundation of what was then known as Dhaka Builders. He was a man of foresight and integrity, who believed in contributing to the growth of a newly emerging nation. With limited resources but unlimited determination, he built a company that played a pivotal role in supplying materials to some of Bangladesh’s earliest construction projects. Today, the values he instilled—honesty, hard work, and commitment to excellence—remain the pillars of DB Group.
As the second generation entrusted with this legacy, my vision is to take our proud heritage into the future. Our company has evolved into a diversified conglomerate with interests in real estate, cement, paint and chemical manufacturing, e-commerce, lifestyle brands, and most recently, technology-driven real estate solutions.
One of my most ambitious initiatives is the transformation of Old Dhaka into a modern, livable, and sustainable urban space through Dti Real Estate. We are also redefining convenience and wellness through Kikinben.com, and creating innovative lifestyle experiences with Passion of Life.
Looking ahead, our flagship project—Complete Home Solution Company—will lead the industry into the future. This AI-based platform, co-founded with visionary technologist Mr. Mir Sahed Ali, aims to revolutionize how people build, buy, and live in their homes by offering end-to-end services in one seamless solution.
